On November 5, 2009 at approximately 12:30 PM Central Time, an Army Officer opened fire inside a Soldier Reddiness Cnter in Fort Hood, outside Killeen, Texas. 12 people were killed and 32 were wounded in the attack.

My heart goes out to my fellow servicemen and the families of all who were affected by this dreadful incident.

And for those who are concerned about me, FT Hood is far away from El Paso. I was not in any immediate danger from this, but I have been told to keep my eyes open for anyone who'd try to repeat this here.

What's the best part of being your age?
Mostly everyone's friendly with me. I say, "Hi!" and they go, "Hi!" back.

What's your favorite cub time activity?
Snuggling and cuddling! *mmmmurrrrrrrs!*

How many hours a week do devote to Cub time?
Maybe 10-20 hours. I never really timed it, but that's a guess.

What's your favorite toy(s)?
BALLOONS!!!! Heeheehee!!!

Do you sometimes use the potty?
To be honest, unless I have to go really, really bad, and I can't make it in time, I'll wet my diaper. Most of the time, however, I'll use the potty.

There is a monster under your bed, what do you do?
MONSTER?!?! Meeep!!!

Someone feeds you green mushy veggies do you eat them, if not then what?
Depends on da veggies. I like spinach and collard greens (especially with bacon). If it's something that's not normally mushy (green beans, peas, salad), I'll go "Bleh!" and not eat it.

I know you all have read my journal earlier this week about asking for advise on a new car. Well, after spending all day in Las Cruces, I finally bought a nice car, which my dad agreed with (since he was using one of his cars for the trade-in).

I bought a brand spankin new 2010 Nissan Maxima!!! The color is called Mystic Jade, which shifts colors, depending on the light, from blue to grey to green. 6-cylinder, 3.5L engine w/ 290HP, Continuous Variable Transmission, alloy wheels, sun roof, cloth seats with leather-traimmed steering wheel, shift knob, and door arm rests, MP3 playback capable radio w/ 6-CD changer and Bluetooth phone connection.

Grand total for da car - $31K! And, in case you're wondering, it comes with two (yes two) monster-sized balloons!!! One has been preiously used (haven't blown it up myself yet) and one when I get the car 'delivered' on Friday.

I am so frustrated right now... I'm trying to choose a new car to get, but I can't find anything good. Every car I looked at so far (VW Jetta, Honda Civic, Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima) has problems and/or poor reviews. Here's the breakdown:

Jetta: Very unsatisfied with the test drive, no headroom (I thought Germans were tall SOBs!)
Civic: No muscle
Accord: Bad reviews (brakes and seats bad)
Camry: Bleh...
Altima: Bad reviews (major noise/mechanical problems between 3000-9000 miles)

I tried the Altima, and I was the happiest with it. I came within handing cash over fist down payment for a 2008 model before my dad stopped me and got me to think, "WTY?" It was a 2008 SE - cloth seats, alloy wheels, CVT transmission (standard transmission for hybrids), no sun/moon roof, price cut down to $22,000 with tax. Problems: one ding in the paint on the front (dad saw it, I missed it), and it has 2600 miles on it. Two other 2008 SE models on the lot, both with 6-speed manual transmissions, only had 50-100 miles on them. Dad's theory, which led to this car's rejection: someone bought it or did an extended weekend test drive on it, racked up the mileage on it, then returned it to the lot. It still had the dealer's stickers on the window, for crying out loud (which I feel like doing right now, BTW). We didn't even get to test drive it. Dammit!

I'm desperate for help here! Has anyone out there bought a new car in the last year? If so, what would you recommend I get? I want to get a mid-sized sedan w/o too much costly fru-fru, but also not be a total POS. And before you say it, Hyundai is totally out! Owned one before, never again.
